Laser epilation
Our salon is using the most up to date laser epilation system “Light Sheer”. It is produced by the American company “Lumenis” and provides permanent removal of unwanted hair.This unique computer-guided technology offers a wide range of programmes. It allows us to develop a custom designed treatment for each of our clients. The difference between skin and hair pigment is as individual as fingerprints, therefore only the programme featured in this laser system can ensure effective epilation. The sapphire optics reduces thermal effect on skin, which makes the procedure painless and allows it to be performed on any part of the body (face, armpits, breasts, back, bikini, legs, arms).
Only the last generation of diode laser systems can remove hair from all skin types, including darkly tanned skin targeting effectively also ingrown hair. For the first time a device of such effectiveness has been applied in Latvia.
Laser system “Light Sheer” can be applied to treat enlarged superficial blood vessels, remove pigmented lesions and tattoos.
The essence of the method
The essence of the method is the following – the computer detects a hair follicle under the skin based on the difference in hair and skin pigmentation. It targets the melanin (pigment) found within the root of the hair follicle and breaks it down.
Diode laser hair removal
Diode laser hair removal is by far the most effective method of removing unwanted hair. In our salon, this procedure is carried out by experienced, trained doctors.
Based on our 16 years of experience, we can say that 95% of clients have permanently removed their hair. And in 5% they appear in 3-4 years, but they grow very weak and rare.
The essence of the method
The essence of the method is that hair removal occurs through the action of light energy on the structures responsible for hair growth. In a thousandth of a second, a light pulse passes through the hair and destroys the hair follicle, but at the same time it does not damage the surrounding tissues, since the sapphire laser optics prevent thermal effects on the skin.
How does this happen?
The light beam, penetrating through the pigment contained in the hair to the hair follicle, destroys it without touching the surrounding tissues. Hair will never grow out of this follicle.
Number of procedures
The number of procedures is individual and depends on the hair color and intensity of their growth, skin type and epilation area. The results are better the darker the hair and the lighter the skin, but the latest generation lasers, which include the Lumenis "Light Sheer", are equipped with a computer system that can adjust the laser energy depending on the color of the hair and skin, which achieves a greater effect and safety of the procedure.
The main reason for the need to repeat the procedure is that the hair in its development goes through three main stages. In fact, only about 1/3 of the actual hairs are on the surface at any one time. The rest are either just about to grow up, or already intend to leave their place, making way for the young shoots.
You can destroy the hair follicle only in one specific phase. That is why, in order to get rid of all the hair in the selected area, the procedure has to be repeated several times. In one procedure, about 80% of the hair in the growth phase is destroyed. Since 15-20% of the bulbs are not in the growth phase at this time and are not a target for the laser, subsequent sessions with an interval of 2-2.5 months are necessary for such "dormant" bulbs. The general course of hair removal, on average, consists of 4-5 procedures.

Guarantees - in our salon with the client, after consultation and before the start of the first procedure, an agreement is concluded with which the client receives guarantees that if after 5 procedures the client does not receive the expected cosmetic effect, then the following procedures are performed free of charge.
For procedures on the face, the contract is not drawn up. In some cases, with hormonal disorders, procedures on the face can be up to 10.
Preparation for the procedure - the procedure of diode laser hair removal does not require any special preparation. The client is advised not to use waxing 3 weeks before laser hair removal (during this period, the hair on the surface intended for laser treatment can be shaved or depilated with cream), it is not recommended to sunbathe in the active sun for a week before the procedure. The client is warned about the need for thorough depilation with cream or shaving of the treated surface no later than 4-6 hours before the start of the procedure.
Complications and side effects - laser radiation does not have a harmful effect on the body, has a healing and stimulating effect, does not cause any side effects. Immediately after the session, swelling may be observed in the exposure area, which subsides after a few hours. In addition, we note that the laser hair removal procedure is non-contact, and therefore bloodless, and infection with AIDS is excluded.
